To Honor Our Military Personnel

For All the Men and Women who have served in our Armed Forces, we want to Honor and Thank you for your dedication! Everyone in our area is welcome to come and put an ornament on the tree that will be placed soon in Honor of a loved one, living or deceased, who is serving or has served our country. Please put your name and their name on the ornament. The tree will be lit by the City of Horse Cave at the L&N City Park on December 7th, 2024 at 5:00pm. If you are unable to place your ornament yourself, Please drop it off at Horse Cave City Hall and we will have our public works employees place it on the tree for you.

Traffic Advisory: Railroad Work Will Require Crossing Closings in Hart and Hardin Counties Next Week
ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (Nov. 20, 2024) – Work by CSX will require roadway crossing closings along their railroad in Hart and Hardin Counties over the next couple of weeks. The following crossings will be blocked for approximately two days beginning with the listed date. Work depends on favorable weather and schedules could be altered accordingly. The railroad will be signing detours for these state routes.
Hart County Railroad Crossing Locations:
-KY 1140 (Raider Hollow Road) beginning Wednesday, November 27th at the Milepoint 0.1 crossing near US 31W in Munfordville
-KY 728 (Priceville Road) beginning Wednesday, November 27th at the Milepoint 17.3 crossing near US 31W in Bonnieville
-Connector from US 31W to KY 1656 (Walnut Grove School Road) crossing beginning Wednesday, November 27th
Hardin County Railroad Crossing Locations:
-KY 1407 (Nolin Road) beginning Monday, November 25th at the Milepoint 0.0 crossing near Sonora
-KY 84 (Western Avenue) beginning Monday, November 25th at the Milepoint 25.2 crossing in Sonora
Citizens and agencies should note: CSX also plans to work on crossings along the line at several private and county road crossings.
